King’s Hugs!

King sends me Hugs from Heaven when I am feeling blue.
I know it is him because I can feel the gentlest of a breeze
His breeze Caresses me when I cry

When he sends me a hug from Heaven I feel like I could fly

I know it is from my loving son way up high.

If a soft, fragile drop of rain. Would land upon my nose
He has added a small kiss of fate. As delicate as a “White Rose.”

If I hear King’s favorite piece of music; it fills me with an appreciation of sweet love it is then; I know King has sent a hug to me from Heaven, my someone special up above.

If I wake up at daybreak and the bluebirds are twittering a song;

It's a melody sent from Heaven. To give me pleasure all day long.

If little miniature snowflakes; flutter around my face
It's an embrace sent from Heaven, Embellished with Angel lace.

If I am lonesome my dear friends.

I will hold the pleasure in my spirit.

If King continues to send hugs from heaven; that is how

my broken heart will one day mend.

Memorial

Yesterday, April 26 @ 11:00 P.M. was the 11th anniversary of King's leaving to be with his Grandparents, Uncles and other relatives. It has been a long time but I still miss him so much. I know he is still here with me in spirit, but I still think if only; "I could have just one more day, even an hour, I could talk with him and be absolutely confident he knows how much I love and miss him."

Sometimes I can feel his presence; Sometimes I see someone in my peripheral vision, I feel very certain it is King and he is trying to tell me something..

We used to have a talk about dieing and we would promise; Whoever goes first and it is at all possible we would contact the other to let them know that we are OK. I believe that is what he is doing when I see him in my dreams, in my visions and in my thoughts.

King honey, I love you and miss you with all my heart. You have gone into another form but to me you are still very much a part of your families life..

Memories

I am a 65year young women. A mother, I love all my children and grandchildren with all my heart. I wrote a book about my wonderful son. This is the reason for this website.

Maw's memories of my brother, King, were never intended to be published in a book. Jotting things down about him helped her cope. She went through several emotional stages during that time. I think she first started writing to keep King alive. Then, she was able to voice her anger on paper. She found a constructive way to release her frustrations. Ultimately, it helped her let go.

She reflected back on her journal and realized the need for a book of this nature. Many people reject or ignore the facts of AIDS. She thought her personal journal might be helpful to someone else facing a similar battle with AIDS. She shares her thought process during a trying time and offers ways for readers to reach out. It took a lot of courage to have her journal published. King is smiling.

Hey Joan,

OK, here it is!

About the Tattoo Tribute to King ~~ It was finished at about 2:45 am this morning. I had him put it right above my Celtic Tree of Life Tattoo, which stands for Rebirth, Renewal and the Continuation of Life. I hope you like it as much as I do. He did an awesome job on it. Everyone at the shop thinks it is his best piece to date (he is an apprentice at the studio). Justin is the name of the artist who did the tattoo. He spent the last week and a half drawing it and refining

it and I think he did great. It got rave reviews from all the other artists last night, not to mention all the regulars that hang out there with us.

Sorry that it is kind of shiny, that will go away in a few days. At which time I will take another picture (which I will send to you ), but till it starts to heal it will be hard to get a picture without glare.

Also sorry about calling so late last night, but I didn't think you would mind considering the reason for the call.

Today August 26, 2006 is King's Birthday!! Happy Birthday King, I love you and miss you; I ask you for your assistance today and of course you did come through for me and helped me figure something out with you Quilt Panel. I have just about got it finished and ready to hand to the representative of the AIDS Quilt Foundation during the Author-thon in October.

I have been having your favorite Little Debbie Cakes and Mountain Dew in lieu of Birthday Cake since that was your favorite snack.
