King's Grandma Helfer
“In Memory of My Mother, Lorene Thomas Helfer”
I love you, Mother, from the deepest part of my soul. When I think
of all the time I could have been with you, before dementia really
took over your life. Oh, how I wish I could have convinced you to
come live with me. Before you became so ill. I think you were
happier here with me in Florida than you were in the past two or three
years. We just wanted what was best for you. You have finally found
the love of your life now. I do believe you are truly happy with your
husband, Dewey, our father. You had 25 years in marriage. Now
after 38 years apart, you are together again.
Your daughter, with love!!
Joan Nelson, for her mother
Three words for our mother by the power of our Lord, the days do
come and go. As we age, we choose with our own will, as the days
pass into weeks, into years. We do have regret as the years fly by. We
only have the past for remembering. While we still have time. We
need to tell our loved ones, these three words. “I love you” As
moments in ones life goes quickly by.
In honor of my mother, Lorene Thomas Helfer, by Joan Nelson
